Anjali Menon is the author of three novels, including "The Monsoon Bride" which won the 2023 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. Born in Kerala and raised between Mumbai and London, her work explores the complexities of cultural identity, family secrets, and the immigrant experience. Her writing has appeared in Granta, The Paris Review, and The New Yorker. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and currently teaches creative writing at Ashoka University. Menon's latest collection of stories, "Cardamom and Ash," was longlisted for the International Booker Prize. She divides her time between Delhi and Brooklyn.
