R.K.Narayan

R. K. Narayan was born on 10 October 1906 in Chennai. He was one of India’s greatest English-language authors. He became famous for creating the fictional town of Malgudi, used in many of his stories. His well-known books include Swami and Friends, The Guide, and Malgudi Days. He received honors like the Padma Bhushan and passed away in 2001.
